Modern outdoor experiences in a safe and fun environment
The Outer Limits Adventure Centre offers a modern High Ropes course, Low Ropes, Leap of Faith, Glider Possum, Rock Climbing and Bouldering as well as an Obstacle Course.
Built in 2018, the Centre assists Outer Limits in providing the best outdoor experiences to our clients. Our endeavour is to teach skills as well as create a safe and fun environment in which our clients can challenge themselves.
The perfect base for adventure expeditions
Outer Limits have been successfully running outdoor programs with groups since 2013, the multi-day wilderness camps for groups are our speciality. The Adventure Centre, based in Paluma Village, is the perfect base camp for adventure expeditions.
Along with the Adventure Centre, we also offer additional activities at the Paluma Dam, such as Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and Raft Building. For a full list of activities please download our Camp Program.

We also offer water-based activities including:
Kayaking
Together we will learn how to paddle a kayak and explore the banks of the Paluma Dam. If you look closely, you might be lucky enough to spot local wildlife.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding
A bit more challenging than kayaking are our SUPs. They will test your balance and coordination. We get to play team games and race each other on the water.
Raft Building
Build your own raft and test it out in the water. Make sure to tie those knots properly or you might not make it back to shore. A fun team challenge of who builds their raft first, takes it out on the water to complete a set course and race back to the shore.
Abseiling
A thrill not to be missed. A great way to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone in a safe and fun environment. Please speak to us to discuss which option would be most suitable to you. All options are limited to 25 people per group.

Team Games
Let’s get competitive. The group splits into teams and completes a number of fun challenges and races. Teamwork and thinking outside the box is required to win the bragging rights.
Amazing Race
Working in small groups, teams use a map and a clue sheet to find checkpoints at their location. Road Blocks require teamwork to gain points to win the race. This challenge will work on communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
Archery
Archery provides the opportunity to focus on the individual. Learning a new skill and have fun with a game of target scoring.
Archery Tag
Taking archery to the next level and introducing a more (inter)active version of the sport. An all time favourite!

Paluma Village
Adventure Centre Address: 5 Lookout Road, Paluma 4816
Paluma Village is only a 90 minute drive north of Townsville. The quaint village is situated at over 900m elevation which provides cooler temperatures all year around. The Centre is next door to Gumburu Environmental Education Centre and a short walk from the Paluma Environmental Education Centre, which may be booked for accommodation, depending on availability.
