Adventure House Paluma
Are you planning an adventure get-away with your friends or family, but not sure where to go? We have the right place for you: the Adventure House Paluma.
The house is located in the village of Paluma Range National Park, the southern gateway to the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. It is nestled among beautiful rainforest walking trails, cozy cafes and in close proximity to the Paluma Dam and Crystal Creek swimming holes. Here you can escape the coastal lowland heat and relax in the cool mountain air of the Paluma Range. Enjoy a rainforest walk or run and marvel at the breathtaking views from McClellands Lookout.
It will one day be the site of our “Paluma Adventure Centre” high ropes and climbing park.
There are plenty of outdoor activities you can do in Paluma National Park and surroundings, such as:

- Stand Up Paddle Boarding (equipment available for hire in Townsville)
- Unwind and relax
The house is located opposite the Rain Forest Inn. It is an old cottage style, 4 bedroom house offering sleeping space for 10-12 people.
- King bed – single or couple
- Queen bed – single or couple
- Bunk room – a single/single bunk (sleeps 2)
- A double/single bunk (sleeps a single or couple plus a single)
- Bunk room 2 – double/ single bunk, sleeps single or couple plus single
We ask you supply your own linen or sleeping bag and take it home to wash. It has pillows and doonas for you to use on every bed.
It’s has 1 bathroom, a good sized, fully equiped kitchen and living area with a wood heater plus a BBQ and outdoor setting. It also has a space for an outside camp fire, perfect for those cool nights. There is off street parking available and plenty of room for adventure equipment.
The house has a rain water tank as Paluma is on a boiled water alert.
Cost to hire the house is $50 per person per night. A discount for group or multiply nights can be negotiated.
